Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Darling River

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT LOUTH AND TILPA AND POSSIBLE AT WILCANNIA
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BOURKE, WILCANNIA, MENINDEE TOWN AND BURTUNDY
MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT POONCARIE FROM EARLY JULY
Minor flooding is continuing along the Darling River at Bourke, where river levels peaked on Monday 20 June.
The main flood peak along the Darling River is currently arriving at Louth where moderate flooding is occurring.
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Tilpa where the main flood peak is expected to arrive early July.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Wilcannia where moderate flooding is possible around mid July.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Menindee Town. River levels at Menindee Town are likely to remain near 9.00 metres for the remainder of June into mid July as WaterNSW plan to keep the release steady for about a month. The release plan follows consultation with the SES and local communities.
Minor flooding is occurring at Burtundy and expected at Pooncarie around early July.

Barwon and Darling Rivers downstream of Brewarrina to Bourke:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Bourke.
The Darling River at Bourke peaked at 10.89 metres around 09:30 pm Monday 20 June and is currently at 10.62 metres and falling, with minor flooding.

Darling River downstream of Bourke to Tilpa:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Louth and Tilpa.
The Darling River at Louth is currently at 10.69 metres and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Darling River at Louth may peak near 10.70 metres during Thursday 30 June, with moderate flooding.

The Darling River at Tilpa may peak near 11.30 metres in early July, with moderate flooding.

Darling River downstream of Tilpa to Wilcannia:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Wilcannia.
The Darling River at Wilcannia may reach 9.70 metres in mid July, with moderate flooding.

Darling River downstream of Wilcannia to Burtundy:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Darling River at Menindee Town and Burtundy. Minor flooding is expected at Pooncarie.
The Darling River at Menindee Town is steady around 8.90 metres, with minor flooding. Menindee Town is likely to remain near 9.00 metres for the remainder of June into mid July.

The Darling River at Pooncarie is expected to exceed the minor flood level (6.80 metres) early July. The river level may reach 7.00 metres around the second week in July, with minor flooding.

The Darling River at Burtundy may reach 6.80 metres around mid July, with minor flooding.

* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.

* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT KENEBREE AND GOODWINS
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WEILMORINGLE
Along the Culgoa River, minor flooding continues at Weilmoringle where river levels are easing slowly. The main flood peak along the Culgoa River is now at Kenebree, where moderate flooding is occurring.
Along the Bokhara River, the main flood peak is now at Goodwins, where moderate flooding is occurring.

Culgoa River:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Kenebree. Minor flooding is occurring at Weilmoringle.
The Culgoa River at Weilmoringle is currently at 5.68 metres and falling slowly, with minor flooding.

The Culgoa River at Kenebree is steady near its peak of around 6.15 metres, with moderate flooding.

Bokhara River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Bokhara River at Goodwins.
The Bokhara River at Goodwins is steady near its peak of around 2.75 metres, with moderate flooding.
