Initial Moderate Flood Warning For The Fitzroy River Basin

MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT YATTON DURING TUESDAY, WITH FURTHER RISES AND MODERATE FLOODING DURING WEDNESDAY
Areas of heavy rainfall of between 75-140 mm recorded during the last few days has resulted in stream and river rises across the Connors and Isaac River catchments, in the northern part of the greater Fitzroy basin. Further rainfall of 20 - 40 mm is forecast for the remainder of Monday into Tuesday.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Stream rises are occurring across numerous creek systems of the Connors and Isaac River catchments during Monday.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 1.86 metres (below minor) and rising.
The Isaac River at Yatton is expected to exceed the minor flood level (7.50 m) from Tuesday evening, and continue rising and exceed the moderate flood level (9.50 m) Wednesday morning. A peak forecast for Yatton will be provided once upstream peaks have been observed.
